Economical announces departure of senior VP
Chris Van Kooten’s last day will be August 26

Economical Insurance’s senior vice-president and chief underwriting officer will be leaving the organization, the company announced Thursday.
Chris Van Kooten will be leaving to pursue other ventures, with his last day set for Aug. 26.
“Chris has made significant contributions since joining Economical eight years ago, increasing our sophistication in pricing and analytics,” said Karen Gavan, president and chief executive officer of Economical Insurance. “We appreciate all he has done for Economical and wish him well in the next phase of his career.”
The company has initiated a search to replace him.
