Ian Rutherford to lead XL Catlin’s Canadian property line

Ian Rutherford has been appointed head of XL Catlin’s Canadian property business.
He will be based in Vancouver, and will also manage property underwriting operations in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal.
Rutherford joined Catlin Canada in 2010 to open its branch in British Columbia. He previously served as vice-president of GCAN Insurance Company, where he worked for more than 20 years.
XL Catlin’s property coverage is available on a licensed basis through the Canadian branch of XL Specialty Insurance Company.
