How will my student loans affect me qualifying for a mortgage?

That’s a question we get all the time and that we just recently guided Dr. Jay and Jennifer Larson through.

You can see their video in the top left hand corner and they can tell you a little bit about that process.

Generally what we do is we want to make sure we understand exactly what is going on with your student loans.

Are your loans coming out of forbearance or deferment?

Are you already in income based repayment?

Are you entering income based repayment based on your salary in the first couple of years?

This is a crucial point where we have to have a full understanding of your situation so that we make sure it fits the specific loan underwriting guidelines for the physician mortgage we have in mind for you.

We have become really good at is identifying very early on those challenges you may have due to student loans and finding and selecting the right program that will ensure we won’t have any problems during the underwriting process.

Hope you enjoy the short video from Dr. Jay and Jennifer Larson. If there’s any specific questions you have about student loans we’d be more than happy to answer those for you.
