Motorbike enthusiasts who are keen to get a glimpse at the latest offerings from Ducati will be able to do so at this year’s EICMA trade show in Milan.
Running from November 5th to 10th 2013 at the International Fair at Rho, the event will provide the stage for the elite manufacturer to show off its 2014 vehicle range, demonstrating the combination of advanced technology and classic Italian design ideas that characterise their models.
Among the new bikes on display will be the latest addition to the Monster range, the 2014 Monster 1200 and 1200 S, which feature a superbike-derived 1198 Testastretta 11° DS engine with an enhanced set-up for mid-range power delivery and rideability.
The models also include an entirely new chassis, muscular design, high-spec brakes, suspension, single-sided swingarm and lightweight wheels, among a range of other attractive features.
Also on display will be the elite 1199 Superleggera – previously known as Project 1201 – which has been designed to be the most extreme and technologically advanced street motorcycle ever when it launches in July 2014.
Built with titanium, magnesium and carbon fibre, it has the highest power-to-weight ratio of any production motorcycle in history, producing more than 200hp, despite weighing in at only 155kg. Of the 500 models being produced, around 90 per cent have already been sold.
In addition, Ducati will be showcasing the 899 Panigale at EICMA 2013, coinciding with its UK launch this month.
Claudio Domenicali, chief executive officer of Ducati Motor Holding, said: “Despite the slow market, Ducati looks to the future with optimism and confidence.”
He added: “Data from the first nine months of 2013 shows that the same momentum that has enabled us grow over the last three years is being maintained and we fully expect to repeat the achievements of 2012, a year in which Ducati broke all previous records in terms of sales, output and revenues.”
UK enthusiasts will be able to see all of these bikes for the first time at Motorcycle Live from November 23rd to December 1st.
