Melbourne’s RoadSafe Westgate, NorthEast and NorthWest road safety groups have teamed up with Honda Australia Rider Training (HART) to offer $50 off selected HART training courses in May and June, and are also giving away three sets of Teknic leathers over the next few months.

Twenty-two-year-old Glen Silcock was thrilled to learn he was the first winner in the giveaway, scoring himself a great set of leathers after recently undertaking HART’s advanced course at Calder Park Raceway, in Melbourne’s northwest. The leathers were presented to him recently at HART’s Tullamarine training facility by Nicole Lovell, representing HART and RoadSafe NorthEast.

Since he’s only been riding for six months, a HART course was high on the agenda for Glen, who also works for Australia Post as a mail delivery officer. “Obviously I was pretty happy to learn I had won the leathers. Maybe I’ll wear them on the postie bike one day for fun,” said Glen. “The course itself was fantastic and everyone learned heaps – there were guys there who had been riding for 30 years, and every single one of them picked up something important about riding and safety,” he added.

All HART course fees include the use of a motorcycle and tuition from experienced, fully accredited instructors. For more information about HART and the $50 rebate offer visit: www.hartridertraining.com.au.
