Ross Noble to star in motorcycle TV seriesRoss Noble is renowned around the world for his unique brand of innovative and spontaneous comedy.

Inspired by the comedic great Billy Connolly, Noble has been delighting audiences in the UK and further afield in the likes of Australia and New Zealand for a number of years. The Northumberland comedian also holds another passion very close to his heart – motorbikes. Noble has previously travelled on his hog of choice to various gigs across the country and now he is taking this to the small screen.

Ross Noble: Freewheeling is set to be aired this evening (October 29th) at 22:00 GMT on Dave and is a travel programme unlike any other. The comedian will be saddling up but his destination is as yet unknown and he relies on his 300,000 Twitter followers to decide every bit of his journey through the social media site.

The six-part series epitomises Noble’s mannerisms as a set-up of a pre-planned and obvious diary would not be in keeping with his style. Instead, anything can happen in this programme and Noble has already given a sneak preview of what to expect through this cavalcade of comedy and motorbikes.

In an interview with What’s On TV, he explained that in one episode he ends up at a monkey sanctuary: “I pretended to present a wildlife programme, but instead being about real monkeys, it was all people wearing monkey costumes.

“In another, someone tweeted that they worked in a strip club, so we staged an impromptu Antiques Roadshow there and asked people to bring along stuff they had lying around the house.”

Noble added that he instantly jumped at the opportunity to make the programme when Dave told him that it would have no constraints and he would essentially have free reign over the outcome of the show. It is not the first time that Noble has combined comedy and motorbikes as for his 2007 DVD Fizzy Logic he included a documentary in which he travelled around New Zealand on his bike.
