June storms in prairies, Ontario caused $34M in insured damage
Nearly 3,500 claims were filed

The late June storms that hit Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario caused roughly $34 million in insured damages, CatIQ estimates.
Insurers saw nearly 3,500 claims filed for damaged homes, vehicles and businesses.
While hail, wind and flash floods caused the most damage in the prairies, Ontario saw the most damage from flooding near Thunder Bay.
“Storms such as these have been happening more frequently and with greater severity,” saidBill Adams, Vice-President, Western & Pacific, IBC, said in a release.
