Peter Askew to lead QBE’s operations in Canada
QBE’s gross written premium for 2015 was US$14.7 billion

QBE has appointed Peter Askew to lead its Canadian operations.
Askew, who holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, will be responsible for leading the QBE Canadian branch.
Askew worked as a managing director for Guy Carpenter & Company from 2009 to 2016. Prior to that, he held senior roles at Benfield Canada Limited and Aon Re Canada.
“[Peter’s] knowledge of the local insurance market along with a global overlay from Guy Carpenter & Company make him the ideal candidate to lead the Canadian business into the next stage of its development and growth,” Sam Harrison, managing director for international markets at QBE said in a release.
