The organisers of the 2013 Motorcycle Live show have hailed the recently-concluded event as being one of the most successful ever.
Running from November 23rd to December 1st 2013, the show attracted crowds of more than 106,000 motorbike enthusiasts to the NEC in Birmingham, with more than 230 exhibitors showing off their latest wares – including a wide variety of new bike models.
Spanning 65,000 sq m of space across four halls, the show was comprised of live features, entertainment and special cinema screenings, as well as nine opportunities for attendees to ride motorcycles.
Guests were invited to see the latest exciting brand innovations and high-performance machines from major manufacturers such as Ducati, Honda, Yamaha, Triumph, BMW, Kawasaki, Suzuki and many more.
A number of the machines were originally revealed at the EICMA International Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan earlier in November and were therefore making their debuts in the UK.
This year, HRH Prince William – the Duke of Cambridge – was one of the visitors to the show, making an appearance at a number of manufacturers’ stands to see all the latest models, while he also spent time chatting to some of the other attendees.
Motorcycle Live organiser Dean Linehan said: “I think this really has been one of our best shows to date, helped in no small way by some fantastic new models that many of the manufacturers have introduced here.”
He added: “We’re positive that this will give the entire UK motorcycle industry an important boost for 2014 and beyond.”
Harley-Davidson experiential marketing specialist Marta Ostrowska, who also attended the show, said Motorcycle Live 2013 felt “a lot busier” than previous years, giving the brand plenty of opportunities to connect with new and existing customers.
Meanwhile, Steve Clifford – sales director of Feridax – said it received an unusually large amount of enquiries about its various products, including the Sidi, Shoei and Spada brands.
